Abram Harmon account book, 1835-1854.

This collection consists of an account book of cattle bought, sold, and slaughtered by Abram Harmon. It also includes account with the estate of John Shick, 1835-1837; accounts for silk worm culture, 1840; receipts for house rents, 1842; garden work and planting, with notes on the weather, 1849-1851; list of his liabilities, 1849; personal accounts, etc.

Abram Harmon, a native of South Carolina, was Deputy Superintendent of the Watch, City of Savannah, 1823-1828, and Superintendent of the Watch, 1830-1836. He was Superintendent of Streets and Lanes for a part of this period and City Marshall from 1837 until 1843. He also sold, bought, and slaughtered cattle.
